Me again!

Hi again, been having bit of a play at last and been using my brayer and juicy ink pads!
(Cor WOW love them lots!!!)
Bought some new stamps too, so been having a play with them, think they are so yummy.
I stamped all the background with one of the stamps, which looks like cracked paint and was really pleased with how that came out.

This is the other one... not sure about this one? think it bit too OTT? love the colours tho... just??? hmm?
Hope to see you back soon
Take care

At last a post!

I made this scrapbook layout recently for the Sugar and Spice DT and wanted to share it with you all.
Last Summer, we went to Brighton where my son found this ice-cream that was just about the right size! This photo said it all and was my inspiration for this scrapbook layout. As i'd used a polka dot background i wanted a dotty theme so cut out some large circles from a sheet of scrapbook paper and used some large stick on circle gem things.
Then using the Alphabet Stamp Set i stamped out the words 'yumm' in the large circles, i stamped a border in a matching ink up the side of the photo and along the sentiment, then added a gem into the centres to continue with the theme. Was quite chuffed how it turned out, am getting into this scrapbook alot lately, and as i have tons of photos ready and waiting.... who knows?

2nd Post today...

Well... 2 posts in one day! i am getting good :-)
Here are a few of the creations i have been making whilst missing in action....
I bought a magnolia magazine, and WOW was i liking these little characters, had a dig about and found that i had one in my stash! amazing what you find isnt it? I actually have a couple of them... even better eh?
I've also been busy making flowers, i am loving making these roses at the minute, think i am finally getting there in making them? This set is from Stampin' Up! called Vintage Vogue, must admit it's one of my fav sets at the minute, also liking the distressed look too.

Another Stampin' Up! stamp, this one is called Medallion, with the sentiment from the Oval All set, which is just such a lovely set.
Another one using the Medallion stamp, I think this stamp is just so pretty, really looks effective and seen so many gorgeous creations using this stamp... so may have to play with this one a bit more?
Well that's it for now... if i do any more today, will pop them on later, if not, then when i get a chance to post them up here.
Thanks for popping by, hope to see you again
Take care

Having a well earned break! + Downloads of the month...

I know i havent been blogging for while... but i am having a seriously well earned break! have been so busy lately and had so much on, that i really need to just switch off and enjoy, and thats exactly what im doing, Hubby's orders too!
With father's day fast approaching, i designed this set of downloads with my Dad in mind, as i Love him to bits, and remember in the long ago past (too long to mention!) that he had a car that looked so much like this one! so why not download the set from the Downloads of the month for Crafters Companion, I cant believe we are already half way through the year! Where's it gone???
Anyway... back to the cards, hoping to get few more posted as i have actually managed to get some crafting done too! yes... i really have! im over the moon about that as i havent had chance for so long to do any!

May Downloads of the month.... and apologies!!!

Well its that time again on Crafters Companion, for the Downloads of the month. This month, i was inspired by my cherry blossom tree, which i must admit, when it starts to flower is totally gorgeous! So with that in mind, i designed this set, which i hope you love as much as i do?To download it, log into Crafters Companion and as always, its in the Downloads of the month section. I would love to see samples of what you have made, so if you leave me a link to your card, i shall pop over and have a little look. The flowers i made from the papers and just used a flower punch and bit of ink on the edges, little diamante in centre, just for that little finishing touch! Hope you enjoy them as much i have?

Now for the apologies! i have had the worst few weeks ever! some things i really dont want to go into, but last week to top it all, i wrote off my little car! Totally, totally gutted about that, some silly wally slammed on his brakes in front of me....needless to say, i went into him, and end of my little car! Apparently there is alot of it about, people driving quite normally in front of you.... slam on the brakes and BAM! so little word of warning to you all too, to be on your guard for these people! I'm fine tho, just shook me up and upset me coz my little broom broom which ive had since she was born, so there ya go! end of my little car! But hey ho... life goes on as they say, and im ok.

Owl are ya?

Sorry for lack of posts, i have been so busy with designing in the background, that i havent had time for alot else, but have had the odd moment to have a bit of a play!
I adore owl's i think they are just the cutes, and had this one i had to use. Coloured in Promarkers and Tim Holtz inks, it gives it a lovely sepia colour. I think the stamp set is a Kanban set as i just recongnised the little trees! The sentiment is from a Stampin Up set called Whimsical Words which was one of the sets in the recent Sale-a-bration which has now ended, but there are some lovely verses in the set! Hopefully get chance to post some more soon, so please dont think ive abandoned you all as i really havent. Missing all my blogging friends and hope to be back with you all when i get the chance!

Scrapbook Layout

I don't often do scrapbook layouts, but i absolutely love these images and had to do a double page spread with them for my post on the Sugar and Spice Design Team for last month. Using a pink page that already had a slight pattern on, i used some masks, which i then inked around and then went round with a white pen to add stitching (and yes it took ages!) used some pearly doodles to add some accents. Inked around the photo which i used punches to make a pretty edge that i mounted the pictures on. The sentiments were from the Scribble Flowers stamp set, which i just love. I glittered the petals and added gem in centre to finish off, and must admit.... im kind of liking scrapbooking, so may have to make alot more pages.

This shot shows a close up of the stitching detail.

April Downloads of the Month

Well its that time again, the Downloads of the month are ready for you to download over at
Crafters Companion. When i designed this set, i had a more traditional Easter design in mind, rather than the cutesy chick and egg, as well as being able to use the set for other projects rather than just Easter. So i hope you like them? if so why not pop over and download them now?
Iwould love to see your creations made with them, so please leave me a link and i will pop over and look and leave you a comment.
Thanks for stopping by

Craft Club Tuesday ....

Hi all, Hope you like the look of the blog? needed a bit of a face lift i thought? was getting bit bored with the original colours, so hope you like the new look?
Well, it was craft group on Tuesday, and we were using medallion peel-offs (must admit i very rarely use peel offs now.... but these were pretty!)
This was the first one i made, which are peeled and stuck onto acetate, then cut out and layered for this look, was quite pleased with the medallion, but not sure on the design of the card? needs something else, but not sure? maybe ribbon???

This is a closer look at the medallion (in case you wanted to look closer that is?)

and here is the other one i made, like the layout, not keen on the extra little peel off bits i added tho? The card actually looks red, but was pink to match the paper, but it dont look it does it?

Mother's Day... not long now!

With Mother's Day less than 2 weeks away, this was the card i made for my mum and was monthly creation for the Sugar and Spice Design Team for February.
I used several different stamp sets and products to make this card:
All lined up stamps, funky flowers stamps, punches and glimmer mist and some ribbon
and gems from stash.

Above & Below - Close up of the flowers i made from Punches, which i then stamped with the Funky Flowers stamps, and finished off with Leaves punch, (did you know there is the cutest little ladybird in this punch!)

this is a close up of the flower, which when id stamped it, and used inks to colour around the edges, i used glimmer mists to give them that gorgeous shine. Finished off with little pearls for the centre.
