Scrapbook Layout

I don't often do scrapbook layouts, but i absolutely love these images and had to do a double page spread with them for my post on the Sugar and Spice Design Team for last month. Using a pink page that already had a slight pattern on, i used some masks, which i then inked around and then went round with a white pen to add stitching (and yes it took ages!) used some pearly doodles to add some accents. Inked around the photo which i used punches to make a pretty edge that i mounted the pictures on. The sentiments were from the Scribble Flowers stamp set, which i just love. I glittered the petals and added gem in centre to finish off, and must admit.... im kind of liking scrapbooking, so may have to make alot more pages.

This shot shows a close up of the stitching detail.

Template i promised!

To make this style of card...

This is the template i made to make the above card, hope you can understand it? i used Crafters Companion scoreboard, thats where the measurements come in. The mountain and valley folds refer to the direction the card is folded at that point. I used an A4 sheet of card if this helps?
Once you have cut and folded your card, decorate how you want, i used the actual card for measurements for the parts i put on... personal preference to how you decorate it!

Here is a card i made for my sister-in-laws 40th birthday. I used the bookatrix board and papers from the Crafters Companion Florals CD.

Here is my very 1st attempt at a toe tapper card, i embossed it with one of the keepsake boards and then sanded the embossed bits to make it slightly aged and distressed, because the paper was an aged looking paper. Was quite pleased with result.

This card i made for my uncle's 80th birthday, i designed all of it, including the papers! the topper too, he was so chuffed with the finished result.

This card i made for my dad, he's a builder, so played about with inks and stamps with some peel offs etc and came up with this!

Hubby bought me a cuttlebug for my birthday, and ever since i have been using it for all sorts! they are fab! love the designs that you get with the machine. This was my 1st card made with it.

This was also using my cuttlebug, and is what is called a happy accident! i wanted to just emboss the gold lines, but when i put my versamark on the embossed image, it embossed the whole background too! bearing in mind the card was cream, the whole background turned gold, so was actually quite pleased with my 'accident'
