Birthday cards...

Recently 2 of my favourite people had their birthdays 1 day apart! My best friend Sharon, who celebrated her 40th Birthday and who i met through crafting and is just the best mate you could ask for, i made this for her birthday, had a bit of a major grunge off with it! but loved the finished effect!

My next favorite person is my eldest son, and as i usually do girlie cards and stuff i had to think of something that was more 'manly' so using Stampin' Up! 'Loads of Love
stamp set and accessories,
Which is available at a special price at the moment with Stampin'Up!
for details please email me and you can also order the set for £15.16 instead of the usual £18.95!

Was quite pleased that i can actually do male cards for a change... not a sight of any flowers in sight anywhere! and the only pink is on the parcels in the truck, so think i got away with it!

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon
Take care

Craft club Tuesday...

I know it says Craft Club Tuesday, but recently we did an all day Saturday, which was brilliant, crafting all day, tea, bickies, lunch.... was a really lovely day (Thanks Alison and ladies)
Here are the creations i made that day...
I found this patterned paper and had to use it as the flowers were the pattern, so cut them out and layered up with some punched flowers and swirly stamp for the stem, wasnt quite sure on it to be honest?
Love this paper of these owls, its just so adorable! Been and bought the pad coz i need to look at them and stoke them! not sure if youve noticed, but i love owls! they are just sooooo cute!
I had stamped the toppers on the next 2 cards, but hadnt got round to doing anything with them, till that day! they would probaly make really nice xmas cards?
 ...here's the other one.
Saw the stamp on this one, and thought it looked bit plain, but had to have a play and was really pleased how this one came out. Distressed the text in the background (page out of a book) punched the flowers in matching card and finished with a sentiment.
This was an easel card, loved the toppers and colours of it with the papers, so thats the inspiration in how this one came about.

Well, till next time, see you soon
Take care

Gorjuss card

Outside of card ... and inside of card.

This is a Gorjuss card i made using papers downloaded greatfully from Summertime Designs and i must admit they are absolutely beautiful, so i would like to say thankyou for designing them and letting us download them!
I also used my cuttlebug to cut out the swirly die, which is a sizzix border die, and my new frame die, which i think was nestability one? very pretty frame and set. Alchohol inks and letraset permanent markers to colour and of course the Gorjuss Girl stamp from Funky Kits and to finish it off some flowers!

Pink, Blue and Brown day!

Started off today by doing this card, which yes i know is the same as the one in the craft stamping magazine, liked it that much that i made it for my mum for mothers day!

Been playing with my cuttlebug and got this blue, pink and brown thing going on? colours look really nice together! although they havent come out as i had liked, but i did a variation on a theme with the following 2 cards, was quite pleased how they came out, used inks, sakura pens for some of the colourings.

Bought the new sizzix embossing plate, which i think is really pretty, embossed onto plain pink card and then sanded the pattern and gems for the centres and some glitter glue, couple flowers and hey presto! lol another card!
Have also been having a play with some other stamps (Elusive images) and painted them, but havent done them onto a card yet, if i get a minute, i will take photo and upload them before and after shots!

Here is a card i made for my sister-in-laws 40th birthday. I used the bookatrix board and papers from the Crafters Companion Florals CD.

Here is my very 1st attempt at a toe tapper card, i embossed it with one of the keepsake boards and then sanded the embossed bits to make it slightly aged and distressed, because the paper was an aged looking paper. Was quite pleased with result.

This card i made for my uncle's 80th birthday, i designed all of it, including the papers! the topper too, he was so chuffed with the finished result.

This card i made for my dad, he's a builder, so played about with inks and stamps with some peel offs etc and came up with this!

Hubby bought me a cuttlebug for my birthday, and ever since i have been using it for all sorts! they are fab! love the designs that you get with the machine. This was my 1st card made with it.

This was also using my cuttlebug, and is what is called a happy accident! i wanted to just emboss the gold lines, but when i put my versamark on the embossed image, it embossed the whole background too! bearing in mind the card was cream, the whole background turned gold, so was actually quite pleased with my 'accident'
